The Choice of Museum Fine Art Paper
We too are collectors and the choice of the right paper is a top priority. Limited edition printed artworks by BAM, are produced with Hahnemühle Museum Etching, a natural high-quality white cotton art paper with an inkjet coating specially optimised for FineArt printing, created for customers who are looking for something special. This heavyweight textured paper does not contain optical brighteners and is characterised by its high stability. The finely textured surface with fine felt structure lends FineArt prints added depth and a three-dimensional effect. Combined with the pure cotton base, this creates a wonderfully soft tactile feel and artistic impression. The premium matt inkjet coating produces excellent print results. Colours are wonderfully vivid, the depth of the black truly stands out and details are reproduced perfectly. The acid- and lignin-free Museum Etching meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance and is ideal for reproducing works of art.
The Digigraphie®
Digigraphie® was created by Epson to provide a guarantee of Critical Colour Practice and Archival Permanence to prints made with their Fine Art Printers and Ultrachrome Inks. The Digigraphie® program is endorsed by Hahnemühle, Canson and Epson. This has resulted in a number of papers from these three manufacturers meeting highly critical standards of Colour and Archival Permanence when printed under strict conditions.
What is a Giclée print?
The term ‘Giclée’, a neologism coined by French printmaker Jack Duganne, is derived from the French verb gicler’, which literally translates as to squirt’ or to spray’ and describes the way that the printer nozzle applies the inks – or pigment inks – to the paper. Duganne chose the term as he was looking for a word which would not have the negative connotations then associated with the terms inkjet’ which had happened due to fading occurring in early prints.
While the term ‘Giclée’ originally referred to fine art prints created on IRIS printers (large format colour inkjet printers which became prevalent in the 1980’s) the term ‘Giclée’ has since been used in a wider sense to describe any prints made using an inkjet process. These prints are also often known as ‘pigment prints’ because of the inks (which contains miniature particles of colour, or pigment, suspended in a neutral carrier liquid) that are laid down by a digital printer. We use both ‘Giclée print’ and ‘Pigment print’ to describe an archival grade inkjet print produced directly to fine art paper.

Fairtrade
All the products displaying the Fairtrade Mark are produced from cotton that is Fairtrade certified and sourced from Fairtrade producers.
Cotton is the world's oldest commercial crop and one of the most important fibre crops in the global textile industry. Lots of us care about how we look – and buying clothes made with Fairtrade cotton means we can be a follower of fashion and at the same time help low paid cotton farmers around the world.
Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers. It's about supporting the development of thriving farming and worker communities that have more control over their futures and protecting the environment in which they live and work. And it's your opportunity to connect with the people who grow the produce that we all depend on. When you buy products with the FAIRTRADE Mark, you support farmers and workers as they work to improve their lives and their communities.
PETA-Approved Vegan
Vegan fashion – clothes, shoes and accessories that contain no leather, fur, wool, skin, exotic skins or any other animal-derived fabric – is revolutionising the way that we shop and dress.
As more and more people vow never to clothe themselves in cruelty, retailers and designers are meeting the demand for animal-friendly clothes in style.
Although you can easily find fashionable animal-free products in many high-street stores, some companies go further, either by ensuring that everything they sell is 100 per cent vegan or by clearly sign-posting their vegan products. The “PETA-Approved Vegan” logo is a way of recognising these progressive compassionate businesses – and helping ethical consumers identify where to shop with confidence, safe in the knowledge that they’re not supporting the exploitation of animals.
